Discover the sun-drenched south of France, known to locals as le Midi, on a Rhône River cruise from Avignon to Lyon. Begin beneath the grand Palace of the Popes in Avignon, then sail north through the heart of the valley, past charming riverside ports like Viviers and Vienne.

Raise a glass at a Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine tasting, then arrive in Lyon to wander the lanes of its 2,000-year-old Old Town.

From Lyon, continue on the Burgundy extension along the Saône, with stops in Mâcon, Tournus, and Chalon-sur-Saône as the gentle countryside and storied wine country drift by.
